In the past 24 hours, eight States/UTs namely Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan contributed to 70.97% of the 496 case fatalities reported. Highest number of fatalities was recorded in the national capital. Delhi recorded 89 deaths followed by Maharashtra with 88 deaths and West Bengal with 52 deaths.

22 States/UTs have Case Fatality Rate less than the National average of 1.46 per cent. The current Active Covid-19 Caseload of India is 4,53,956 and the present contribution of Active Caseload to India’s total positive cases stand at 4.83%.

Maharashtra recorded the maximum positive change with increase of 1,940 cases while with a decrease of 1,603 active cases, Delhi recorded maximum negative change. 41,810 new confirmed COVID cases have been registered in the last 24 hours in the country.

New confirmed cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country and eight States/UT i.e. Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh contributed to 70.43% of the daily new cases. Kerala leads the chart with 6,250 new COVID cases followed by Maharashtra with 5,965 cases and Delhi with 4,998 new cases.

Total 42,298 recoveries have been registered in the last 24 hours in the country and total recovered cases in India have crossed the 88 lakh mark (8,802,267). Currently the national recovery rate stands at 93.71%. 68.73% of the new recovered cases in the past 24 hours are from 8 States/UTs. The state with highest number of single day recovery is Delhi with 6,512 single day recoveries followed by Kerala with 5,275 and Maharashtra with 3,937 recoveries.
