DAILY RECOVERIES OUTNUMBER DAILY NEW CASES IN LAST SIX DAYS

As daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases, India has reported more daily recoveries than the daily new cases continuously in last 6 days. India registered 40,726 new recoveries, while 35,551 people were found to be infected with COVID during the same period. It has led to a net decline of 5,701 cases from the total Active Caseload in the last 24 hours.

 

The active caseload of India has shrunk considerably and presently is below 4.5 lakhs. At present India’s active caseload stands at 4,22,943  which is just 4.44% of Total Positive Cases. The recovery rate has seen a boost. 

The gap between active cases and recoveries keeps widening and presently stands at 85,50,430 with a considerable decline in mortality rate as more number of people are responding to medication and are recovering quickly. As recoveries continue to outnumber new cases, total recovered cases stand at 89,73,373 and the Recovery Rate has improved to 94.11%. 

77.64% of the new recovered cases in the past 24 hours are from 10 States/UTs. The state with highest number of recoveries is Kerala with 5,924 single day recoveries followed by Delhi with 5,329 new recoveries and Maharashtra with 3,796 recoveries.

However new confirmed cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country and 75.5% of these new cases are concentrated in ten States/UT. Kerala is leading the number of new active cases with 6,316 cases followed by Delhi with 3,944 cases and Maharashtra registered 3,350 new cases.

India’s case Fatality Rate has reduced significantly over months. 79.28% case fatalities have been reported in 10 States and UTs in the past 24 hours and 526 deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. Maharashtra tops the chart with 111 deaths followed by Delhi and West Bengal with 82 and 51 new deaths, respectively.
